How does the resume writing process work?
-
Our resume writing process can be broken down into these steps:
1. Fill out our intake form
Start by filling out our online questionnaire, which will ask you about your work history, career goals, current resume, and other relevant information. This allows us to assign you to the most appropriate resume writer for your specific situation.
2. Work with your writer
You’ll communicate with your writer via both phone and email to nail down all the specific details necessary to write a top-tier resume for you.
3. Receive your initial draft
Once your writer has all the information that is needed, he or she will complete a draft of your resume and send it over for you to review.
4. Perfect your resume (and other documents)
Finally, your writer will work on perfecting your resume (along with your cover letter, LinkedIn profile, etc... if applicable) by addressing any concerns you may have had with the original draft.

How does ResumeGo differ from other resume writing companies?
-
Just like how you must set yourself apart from other job applicants, we set ourselves apart from other resume services with...
...a more collaborative process with your writer.
Other resume services either don’t allow you to speak at all with your resume writer or only let you communicate with your writer via email.
Our service doesn’t have any of these restrictions. We strive for a process where you work in tandem with your writer and are able to reach out to him or her via phone, email, or any other form of communication.
...a data-driven approach.
ResumeGo is the only resume service that continually performs in-house research on ways job seekers can optimize their hireability and improve their resumes.
Our cutting edge research has been covered extensively by national media outlets such as Business Insider, The Wall Street Journal, CNBC, and Fortune, to name a few.
...a money back guarantee.
Along with being the only resume writing company to conduct frequent resume research, we’re also one of the few resume services that offer a money back guarantee under which you can get a refund if you are unsatisfied with your writer’s work.
...unlimited revisions for up to 2 weeks.
Most resume services simply allow for at most 1-2 revisions (if any at all) after you receive the initial draft of your resume. That process can be very restricting, especially if they simply do a rushed job on each rewrite.
This is why we offer as many revisions as you'd like for up to 2 weeks, so you can thoroughly flesh out any kinks in your resume with your writer without having to worry that the next revision you get will be your last.
...understanding of applicant trackers.
The majority of our resume writing staff has direct experience with using applicant trackers and know how to optimize resumes for these resume scanners. We even have our own resume checker that anyone can use.

What qualifications do ResumeGo writers have?
-
Our team consists of certified resume writers and career coaches, current and former recruiters, and specialists who focus on individual industries.
Every writer on our team has written hundreds of resumes for clients and has in-depth knowledge of how the hiring process works.
Only the top 3% of resume writers who apply for a position with us are even considered for a spot in our writer network.
-
How does my resume writer collaborate with me?
-
Once we assign a resume writer to you, your writer will contact you via email to set up an initial phone consultation (if you so choose) during which he or she will go over your current resume (if you have one) and discuss what types of jobs you’re looking to apply for. With that information about your work history and goals, your writer will formulate a strategy for how to write your new resume.
From there, you’ll stay in constant communication with your writer until you’ve received a final copy of your resume (and other documents, if applicable).

What resume package should I go with – Professional or Executive?
-
The Professional package is going to be the way to go for most people. It comes with a new resume and there's the option to add on other job documents like a cover letter, thank you letter, and LinkedIn profile.
If you’re one of the few individuals who have over 25 years of experience and are also applying to C-suite level job positions, then the Executive Package would be the most appropriate option to choose.
When in doubt, feel free to reach out to us or schedule a free 1-on-1 with a writer of ours.
